Funky Flowers with Jeannie Zacharias AGE: 8 & 9 SKILL LEVEL: for everyone DATE: Tuesday to Wednesday             July 29-30 TIME: 10am to 2pm; bring a lunch. COST: $60 (includes fabric, fusible web & wire hanger) Make this creative wallhanging while learning to cut and fuse fabric, sew on buttons, and hand sew a running stitch. It's fun!
Sleepover Pillowcase with Pearl Braun Dyck AGE: 8+ SKILL LEVEL: for everyone DATE: Tuesday             August 5 TIME: 10am to 2pm; bring a lunch. COST: $40 (includes fabric and pattern) Make a special pillowcase from any fabric you love in the Quilters' Jewel. You'll learn to sew straight seams on the machine while making the pillow from a 'hotdog'. It's so fun, you'll want to make another one!
Fun Times! Photo Memories with Barb Westfall AGE: 10+ SKILL LEVEL: for everyone DATE: Wednesday to Thursday             August 6-7 TIME: 10am to 2pm; bring a lunch. COST: $60 (includes fabric and supply kit) Create a special memory from a favourite photo. The hanging has room for autographs and comments! Learn to piece, fuse, sew on a button, and machine quilt. Bring your favourite photo and choose fabric to complement it.
Lounging Pillow with Pearl Braun Dyck AGE: 12+ SKILL LEVEL: sewing/quilting experience required DATE: Monday to Friday             August 11-15 TIME: 10am to 2pm; bring a lunch. COST: $150 (includes fabric and batting) OR $175 (also includes pillow form) Create a giant 30" pillow, perfect for lounging around! Create your own colour combination from your favourite fabrics at the Quilters' Jewel. Practice rotary cutting, piecing, and sewing. Learn to hand quilt with large stitches. Take your quilting skills a step further while making a really fun project.
The Smart Bag with Pearl Braun Dyck AGE: 10+ SKILL LEVEL: for everyone DATE: Monday to Wednesday             August 25-27 TIME: 10am to 2pm; bring a lunch. COST: $80 (includes fabric and pattern) Learn to paper-piece a simple design. Then sew a tote bag the easy way using a pattern you fuse right onto the fabric. Pick your favourite fabrics from the Quilters' Jewel shelves. This bag is perfect for a few books, games, or other necessities of life!

Explore creative possiblities within a simple raw-edge technique. No hand sewing required. Complete 1 or possible 2 unique Art Quilt Tiles. Sewing machine required. Basic supply kit included. Complete supply list available on registration.

This workshop is hosted by the Barnswallow Quilt Guild. Registration fees made payable to the guild in cash or cheque only. Bring a lunch.

Register for all classes at the Quilters’ Jewel in person or by phone.

A non-refundable class registration fee must be paid in full to confirm your spot in the class.

The supply list for the class will be handed out only upon registration.

Our classroom is equipped with 4 new Pfaff

sewing machines* for class use.

There are a limited number of spaces for each class so please sign up early to avoid disappointment. If class is cancelled due to low registration, a refund will be provided.

* Sewing machines can be rented for use on the premises for $10 per calendar day or per workshop/class (all sessions included).

Our classroom is equipped with 4 new Pfaff sewing machines*, great work tables, and several design walls. A large window lets in plenty of natural light ... and a great view of the garden as it blooms through the summer!

All quilters are welcome to use the machines when classes are not in progress. Just call us in advance to avoid disappointment.
