Mystery Quilt Club

MQC was so much fun last year, we’re doing it again! The only thing we can reveal is that … Quilter’s Double Cross is a classic machine pieced lap or queen-sized quilt from Border Creek Station and it’s lots of fun to make!

Lazy Lap – 58” x 75” Quaintly Queen – 102” square

Enjoy 7 months of total suspense for a true quilting experience. Requires only a moderate amount of time and minimal sewing experience. Each month reveals the next step in the mystery.

Choose your fabric kit from 4 colourways or choose your own fabrics. Club fee $20 includes monthly meeting and detailed coloured instructions. Participate in person or by mail. (Shipping & handling extra.)

Pick up your monthly instruction package and meet other club members over refreshments at 11:00 on the first Saturday of the month (except in May). Marilynn Wiebe will share a few tips for the next step of the project. (Or pick up the instructions at your convenience at a later date or receive by mail.)

Join the fun at the reveal supper party, Wednesday June 17.

Here are some fabric selections we've put together or choose your own.

Some hints:

The first two fabrics are the coordinates that highlight the main colour.

The third fabric is the contrast colour that adds a sparkle.

The last three fabrics are the colour of the quilt.

Fabric 5 is the main fabric.

You can use two rather than three fabrics as your main fabrics. We have done this in a few of our selections.

Fabric 6 is used only in the border. If it is a large print you should consider making a plain border to showcase it well.
